Welcome to WAvewell Earth Studio
Thank you, from the depths of my heart, for finding your way here.
This is a sanctuary created for those who love the natural world: a gentle respite where your soul can finally fold its wings and rest. Here, you are invited to experience "Healing Art" born from a unique union of scientific inquiry and raw intuition. It is my attempt to translate the pulse of our Earth into a language we can all feel.
I capture the dance of light and shadow, transforming them into photography, film, and paintings. I weave the whispers of the wild, the subtle frequencies and wavelengths of our environment, into poetry, research, and music. Beyond the constraints of a single medium, I carefully craft each work to carry a sense of peace from the coast of California to the rest of the world.
The Philosophy of WA
The name WAvewell Earth holds a prayer. "WA" (和) is the Japanese character for harmony, tranquility, and gentle accord. My deepest longing is to ripple this peaceful wave across our planet.
In Japan, we are raised with the philosophy of Yaoyorozu-no-kami. This is the belief that the sacred resides in everything, from the mountains and rivers to the ancient trees and the very stones beneath our feet. This means that we, too, are part of that sacredness. It is not a call to be arrogant, but a call to a quiet, profound respect.
When we truly cherish ourselves as sacred beings, a genuine healing journey begins. By embracing our own essence, we naturally find the capacity to embrace all other people and all other living things.
Ebb, Flow, and the Internal Wave
Like the ocean, we are defined by ebb and flow. We are constantly shifting, rising, and falling. There are days when the winds are harsh and the seas are restless, and we encounter unexpected swells brought by currents far beyond our control.
Yet, even then, we possess the power to generate a harmonious wave from within. Rather than chasing a "perfect form" or judging the tide, we can choose to return to our center. Just as the ocean's instability fosters abundance and life, our very imperfections are the source of our truest beauty.

Her story
Yuki | Photographer, Researcher, and Translator of Life
Yuki operates at the rare intersection of Science (the systematic decoding of nature’s intelligence), Soul (the Japanese ethos of sacred interconnectedness), and Art (the bridge that makes the invisible felt).
This studio is her answer to a lifelong question:
"How can we truly spread joy and love across this planet?"
She explores the answer by traversing the boundary between the visible and the invisible.
The Origin of the Compass
Her journey began in the summer of her eighth year. Shortly after her father confronted a period of illness and transitioned from his physical body, Yuki found herself swimming with a pod of twenty wild dolphins off the coast of Mikura Island.
Enchanted by their light energy, overflowing with playfulness and joy, she spent her summer creating a hand-drawn book titled The Dolphin Research. In that moment, the needle of her life’s compass found a clear, singular direction.
That compass guided her to specialize in Environmental Studies in Australia and Japan, eventually leading her to a master’s degree in Sustainable Development in the United Kingdom. For years, she moved within the structures of global corporations as a sustainability expert. She crafted systems to return life to our waters and led initiatives to defend our oceans against acidification. There, she focused on the sacred complexity of marine biodiversity, exploring how the timeless wisdom of indigenous cultures could be woven back into the systems of our modern world.
From Systems to Symbols
While these systemic changes were significant, Yuki realized a profound truth. Systems can change the world, but they cannot always stir the human heart. She also came to understand that the Earth is an incredible, resilient masterpiece. If left to her own rhythms, she heals herself.
To truly spread joy and love across this planet, we must first realize that we are sacred, special, and beautiful beings. It is the understanding that anyone can create a life filled with joy and love first.
Therefore, she began by turning her lens toward the "ordinary miracles" hidden in daily life. She captured nature-rooted products, the people who steward the land, and the raw beauty of the natural world itself to tell everyone that magic and support from the Earth is everywhere. What began as photography requests from colleagues and friends soon blossomed into the birth of WAvewell Earth Studio.
Today, Yuki is deepening her exploration of the languages of whales and dolphins. She has embarked on a research path toward a PhD, studying the messages within these underwater frequencies and how they resonate with the human brain and body. By fostering this interspecies dialogue, she seeks to bridge the gap between humanity and the ocean.
At WAvewell, science is not a cold tool. It is a form of devotion. Whether she is decoding the neural resonances of a Cetacean or capturing the light hitting a redwood grove, Yuki is looking for the same thing: the frequency of life itself.
Her belief is simple:
"We are not separate from the Earth. We are the beautiful Earth.
If you are healed, the Earth is healed.”
To You, Fellow Traveler on this Planet
